We offer insertion and removal of  IUS – Mirena & Kyleena , IUD – Copper Coil (including for emergency contraception). Long acting contraceptive device services are available to both patients and non patients of the practice.     

This consists of three visits:

An initial consultation to discuss options and issue a prescription, followed by an insertion appointment around a week or two later followed by a string check appointment six weeks later.  This service is free to those aged 17 - 35 regardless of medical card status and those aged 17 - 44 with a medical card. 

Please ensure you bring your GMS number or PPS (for non medical card holders) to your appointment.
